Let's celebrate Devon!

Pick of the Week - our micro-guide to what's on in and around Dartmouth - is back again this week, driven by our passion for this wonderful part of the world and our commitment to local communities and businesses, as well as ensuring our guests have the best time! We are certainly living in unprecedented times, but we think it is better to go ahead with sharing the best of local events, attractions and offers, demonstrate how positive people are, and spread a bit of Devon cheer!

13 March - 20 March 2020

It's the Spring Steam Gala with South Devon Railway this weekend - recreating scenes which have not been seen for decades! A must for railway enthusiasts.....

Seafood Night at the Royal Castle Hotel, Dartmouth this Saturday

Did you know you can book yourself onto Bakery School at Saveurs in Dartmouth, which is just down the road from our cottage in a matter of minutes on foot! A Chocolate Moulding for Easter workshop takes place this weekend. Check out their programme of events this year for lots of interesting opportunities on our doorstep.

Live Music at The Loft, Kingsbridge, with Little Waves

Totnes Good Food Sunday Market - Fine Food Farmers' Market on the 3rd Sunday of every month throughout the year

Sharpham Wine & Cheese and estate is now open for 2020! Well worth a visit.

Live Music Dates with Mick & Lucy at Anzac Street Bistro have been announced, starting next Friday! One of our top recommendations, and really close to our cottage.

Looking ahead for the season - have you heard about Dartmoor Llama Walks? Book ahead now! They are very popular.

We have been checking social media, where Dartmouth Music Festival, Salcombe Crabfest and the Devon County Show have all made very clear statements that they are still planning to be going ahead (and of course reviewing the situation) so let's keep our fingers crossed! Join us again next week for more Pick of the Week!

The Old Wash House Dartmouth is very full between now and mid October 2020, but we have two weeks still available; w/c 24 April and w/c 22 May (school half term).
